OUR SERVICES

VACATIONS Tour is pleased to offer the adventurous diver the opportunity to experience Yemeni culture and hospitality. Our tours cover the Yemen and the Gulf States (Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait).

VACATIONS Packages cover three destinations in Yemen at this point. However we can arrange to offer tours to other destinations through a third party to meet our clients needs. We expect to cover the rest of country by end of 2007.

The two destinations that we are currently offering our services in are Socotra Island and ancient city of Shibam and the city of Aden.

We recently have started arranging for new destinations in Africa and Europe. At this point we offer vacations in Kenya and Moscow in Russia.

Socotra Island Tour

Socotra Island, also known as the Island of the Terrace of Incense is located 700 km from Aden in the Arabian Ocean with the Gulf of Aden on one side and the Indian Ocean to the south side.

Socotra Island is very rich in plant and bird life, and is the only place you will find the Dragon’s Blood Tree, as it exists nowhere else in the world. Locals describe the underwater scenery as equally spectacular. Shipwrecks, beautiful corals, giant groupers, black tip sharks, dolphins and more may be seen at a variety of diving sites.

The remote beauty, ancient history of the island offers something for everyone including mountain trekking, and bird watching expeditions.

Shibam Tour
Shibam is a town in Hadramawt, Yemen, with about 7,000 inhabitants. It has been the capital of the Hadramawt Kingdom for several periods of time.

Shibam is famous for its distinct architecture, which now is on UNISCOs programme to safeguard the human cultural heritage. The houses of Shibam are all made out of mud bricks, but still there are about 500 tower houses, rising 5 to 9 stories high. While Shibam has existed for around 2,000 years, most of the city's houses come mainly from the 16th century. However, many were rebuilt over and over again during the last few centuries.

Shibam is often called "the oldest skyscraper-city in the world", or "Manhattan of the Desert" which is a claim with quite a bit of consistency.
